Dr. Tirthapura earned a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Brown University. His career includes experience with Bell Labs, Microsoft, Oracle, Iowa State University, and Apple. He previously served as Kingland Professor at Iowa State University, where his research included AI, machine learning, streaming algorithms, databases, graph algorithms, and distributed systems.
